DropYou Driver / Customer Terms and Conditions

1. About These Terms

These terms outline the agreement between you (the customer) and the Driver who performs delivery services for you through the DropYou platform. For clarity:

  • “You” / “Your” refers to the customer requesting a delivery service.
  • “We” / “Us” / “Our” refers to the Driver performing the delivery service.
  • “DropYou” refers to FAS Logistics Ltd, the platform provider that connects both parties.

Note: DropYou is not the delivery provider — your service contract is directly with the Driver.

2. Job Requests and Driver Engagement

2.1 When you place a delivery request via DropYou (a "Job Request"), you are inviting a Driver to accept the task.
2.2 You will receive confirmation via the DropYou platform and/or email once a Driver has accepted the job.
2.3 DropYou or the Driver may contact you through in-app chat or phone to clarify delivery instructions.
2.4 A Driver may cancel the job if:

  • The job involves Prohibited Items
  • The pickup/drop-off address is invalid or outside serviceable areas.
  • The item description, weight, or vehicle requirement was misrepresented.

3. Charges and Payments

3.1 Consumers will be charged by DropYou upon job completion. Business users may pay under agreed terms.
3.2 Additional charges may apply if:

  • Loading/unloading assistance was not specified
  • Waiting time exceeds 30 minutes
  • Delivery locations include tolls, congestion, or clean air zones
  • Route or access restrictions lead to delays or rerouting

3.3 All payments must be made via DropYou. Drivers are not permitted to accept direct payments from customers.

4. Your Responsibilities

4.1 You are responsible for submitting accurate details in your Job Request, including:

  • Correct addresses
  • Access restrictions
  • Vehicle or assistance needs
  • Item size, weight, and value
  • Special instructions for time-restricted or secure deliveries

4.2 If your information is incomplete or incorrect, the Driver may:

  • Cancel the job
  • Proceed and charge additional fees
  • Report the issue to DropYou support

5. Delays and Service Failures

5.1 Delays caused by events outside the Driver’s control (e.g. traffic, road closures, breakdowns) are not compensated.
5.2 If a delay is expected to be substantial, DropYou may help reassign the job or cancel without charge, if the job hasn’t started.
5.3 Jobs may be terminated by the Driver if:

  • Items are unlabelled, damaged, or improperly packaged
  • The location is inaccessible or not as described
  • Religious or ethical reasons prevent handling certain items

6. Cancellations

6.1 You may cancel your Job Request via the DropYou app or web portal. Cancellation charges may apply, as outlined in DropYou’s Cancellation Policy.
6.2 If the job is cancelled after the Driver has arrived or incurred travel/time costs, you may be charged partially or in full.

7. Complaints and Disputes

7.1 If you are dissatisfied with the Driver’s service, contact DropYou support. All complaints will be handled in line with DropYou’s Complaints & Claims Policy.
7.2 The Driver is not responsible for handling disputes directly — all issues must be submitted through DropYou.

8. Liability and Insurance

8.1 Drivers are responsible for loss or damage up to the value declared in your booking or the default insurance limit.
8.2 If you did not declare a value:

  • Default liability is £250 for cars
  • £10,000 for vans, if the Driver holds qualifying insurance

8.3 Higher value coverage is only valid if declared and matched with a suitably insured Driver.

9. Data and Privacy

9.1 Your personal data is handled by DropYou in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
9.2 Drivers are contractually bound to protect your personal information and use it only for fulfilling your delivery.

10. Legal Terms

10.1 This contract is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
10.2 Consumers may bring legal claims in the courts of England or the country in which they reside. Businesses agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

11. Changes to These Terms

11.1 These terms may be updated occasionally. Any material changes will be notified via the DropYou platform.
11.2 The latest version will always be available at dropyou.co.uk/terms.
